Registration opens Wednesday, May 31st at 12:01 AM. Registration closes on Wednesday, June 21st at 11:59 PM.

FEE WAIVER

Financial access should not be a barrier to participation in our league. The Stonewall Sports - Richmond fee waiver is designed to offer individuals experiencing financial hardship the opportunity to become a member of the Stonewall Sports - Richmond Community at a discounted and/or waived fee. OVERVIEW

The season will consist of 7 weeks of matches on Thursday evenings, from 7/20 through 8/31 at 7pm. There will be no tournament due to the social nature of REMIX.

Matches will be played at the Carillon memorial (1300 Blanton Ave, Richmond, VA 23221).

REMIX FORMAT

This season of bocce will utilize the REMIX format. Unlike our other sport leagues, a REMIX assigns ALL players to teams at random through a draw. However, a player may register with one additional player in a Small Group. REMIX encourages players to talk to different teams and players and build a deeper sense of community within Stonewall Sports Richmond.

Teams will consist of 6-8 players.

Captains: As this is a REMIX season, players will be asked to express interest in becoming a Team Captain during registration. There will be a need for one captain per team. In the event that more than 30 individuals express interest in captaining a REMIX team, captains shall be selected at random. Although captaining REMIX is a lighter lift than some of our larger team sports, we ask that any prospective captains be available to attend most, if not all, matches and that they serve as a point of contact between the Sports Director and team players. Captains shall become voting members of the league for one calendar year upon completion of the season.

MATCHES

Each week, teams will be paired for 1 match. All matches begin at 7pm and run until 1 team scores 15 points or 45 minutes has passed, whichever comes first. Teams will play as many frames are necessary to reach 15 points. Teams must have at least 2 players present to play the match.

A frame consists of the pallina and all 8 balls being thrown. The object of the game is to get as many of your team's balls closer to the pallina than the other team's balls. Only one team scores per frame, and each team may score up to 4 points, as each team has 4 balls.

Teammates shall alternate throws to ensure as many players as possible participate in each frame. No individual player may throw a ball before another member of their team has thrown.
