REGISTRATION DATES:

Captains Player and Free Agent Registration will open 8/14 and run until 9/30 or all available player spots have been filled. Registration will include all kickball related activities as well as access to exclusive parties and events hosted throughout the weekend. Party info, accommodation information, and block room rates will be made available and updated on this site soon!

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 
Saturday will consist of a round robin pool play in groupings of 4 to determine placement in one of 4 single elimination brackets for Sunday. Teams will play each team in their pool (3 games) and gain points based on a win (3 points), loss (0 points), or draw (1 point). 

Self-rankings and Captain Preferences will be taken into consideration when determining the skill level of each pool. Captains will be able to state their preference of Advanced, Upper Intermediate, Lower Intermediate, or Beginner. Please note that these are preferences and registration numbers as well as the numerical averages of registered teams/players will determine the ultimate format for pool play and bracket play.  

Sunday the tournament will culminate in single elimination bracket play. Sunday's Bracket placement will be based on Saturday's results. Should two teams be tied for their Sunday placement head-to-head results (if applicable) and run differential will be used to determine seeding and/or placement. 

TEAM SIZE

Teams of 12-24 players.

Teams are considered complete once they have 12+ registered players. This means that team is guaranteed a spot in the upcoming tournament.

TEAM NAMES

Captains, please remember to be mindful when selecting a name for your teams. We strive to be a place of safety and community, and must consider diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do.  

DIVISIONS

The Division options are as follows:

• Beginner - Teams with mostly new players, and/or teams that are interested in a more recreational style of play.
• Lower Intermediate - Teams with a mix of new and experienced players, somewhat strategic play but with emphasis on recreation. 
• Upper Intermediate - teams with mix of experienced and advanced players, mostly strategic play with focus on competition.
• Advanced - Teams with more experienced players, highly strategic and competitive play.

INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS

Everyone who registers will be asked to rate their individual skill level on a scale from 1-4. Players returning from a previous season of Stonewall Sports Kickball are expected to rank themselves a 2 or higher.

• A Level 1 player has never played kickball and is a first time kickball player with Stonewall Sports. They are beginners who are brand new to the sport.
• A Level 2 player has previously played kickball with Stonewall Sports or another league but may still be fairly new to the sport. They understand the basics but and most general game mechanics, but may not be interested in more strategic play.
• A Level 3 player has played a few seasons of kickball. They have an intermediate understanding of game rules and mechanics and are interested in moderately strategic play. 
• A Level 4 player has played several seasons of kickball and/or has a more thorough understanding of the rules and game mechanics. They want to continue refining their skills and to play at a more strategic and competitive level.
• A Level 5 player has played several seasons of kickball and has a strong understanding of the rules, game mechanics, and skills. They are interested in strategic and competitive play.

TEAM T-SHIRTS:

Each team will be provided a tournament shirt for the weekend. While it is encouraged that you wear the official tournament shirt, custom team shirts are allowed for either day.
